So, after three days of talks between the Iranian government and delegations from Iran, France, Russia and the United States, Iran has agreed in draft to ship their low enriched uranium to Russia and France to be further enriched.
Three days of talks on Iran's nuclear program wrapped up here Wednesday with a draft agreement on how to provide the Islamic republic nuclear fuel for civilian purposes.
One could speculate that the Iranian Government led by Ayatollah Khamenei and President Ahmadinejad must be feeling a sort of kinship with the Republican Party here in the United States just about now. You see, in both cases, the people of their countries just do not trust them.
We here in the United States can look at polling numbers that tell us what the people are thinking, and at this very time the Republican Party is polling at 21% Favorable and 73% Unfavorable. The American people simply do not trust them.
In Iran, no polls could be found to quote, therefore we have to let actions speak louder than polls in order to figure out the mood of the people today.
Still waiting for election reform here, Senator Lindsey Graham and everyone!
From Interview with George Stephanapolis on "This Week", Lindsey Graham, "And I appreciate what the president said yesterday, but he's been timid and passive more than I would like, and I hope he will continue to speak truth to power."

There are so many memorable photos of the Iran protest although the international media has been shut out of the country. I thought this one was incredible.
A while back CNBC ruffled feathers by trying to minimize the greed of corporate CEOs in the crashing of our economy. Luckily, the were called out on it by Jon Stewart. Well, now they are at it again. As if those statements were not ridiculous enough, now they are comparing the Employee Free Choice Act to the elections in Iran.

Our right wing pals are up to their usual war mongering and sticking-our-nose-into-other-countries-business brand of idiocracy regarding the recent questionable elections in Iran. In a front page diary at RedState entitled In Praise of Chaos in Iran - Let the Heavens Fall, the diarist spells out why the chaos currently coursing through the population in Iran is "is greatly to be encouraged".
"October Surprise" is a term used to describe a potential, external event that can control the outcome of a pending American election. We have had (so far) a mini October Surprise with the Georgia affair.
Another may be coming up. The surprise scenario presumes the deliberate creation of a national security crisis by a small group of persons or even one person. Control over the American election may be purely incidental to the event or the surprise may be an effort deliberately focused on American politics. Either way, it is an "October Surprise" by consequence. ...

Not since the first utterance of Mission Accomplished has a politician proved himself to be so breathtakingly out of touch with reality.
This is John McCain on "This Week" with George Stephanopolous:
Steph: But there was a fundamental difference regarding the original reason to go to war [in Iraq]. He [Obama] said it would inflame the Muslim world and become a recruitment tool for Al Quaeda. You said and you wrote that it would lessen antipathy in the Muslim world and that we would be greeted as liberators. Wasn't Senator Obama right about that?
McCain: I don't believe so. We were greeted as liberators.
Seymour Hersch is one of the nation's top investigative reporters. He has been investigating American-funded activities inside Iran. Looks like insiders in the Bush Administration may be trying to manufacture an incident or even a provocation.
The Peoples Republic of CNN reports today that the Bush Administration is running a whole lot of covert operations inside Iran in order to prepare the battlefield for an attack against their nuclear facilities while really trying to make trouble for the current regime in Iran.
My guess is that the real reasoning has nothing at all to do with nuclear anything, but has much more to do with the fact that the current regime in Iran isn't very friendly to Exxon-Mobil, British Petroleum, Shell Oil, etc, etc. I think that the entire situation emanating from BushCo regarding Iran is all about regime change due to oil. The continuation of the War On Terror For Oil, if you will.
