Barack Obama, DNC, Road to 60, Q2 and more - I Gave how about you?

Cross posted at MyDD and at DailyKos

This is just a small diary with a few words to help push some good candidates and some good ActBlue pages.

I have not been able to give anything for quite a while. I gave a small amount to two worthy ActBlue pages today.

First off, I gave to MyDD's Road to 60 ActBlue page.

They have a great list of candidates that are worthy to support.

More below...

Between now and the election, we'll be profiling and targeting several Senate races that themselves serve as the NRSC's firewall against our getting to 60 seats. They will include seats that the GOP simply should not lose and if they do, then you know 60 is within reach.

Our hope is, with your help, to turn longshots into competitive races and competitive races into top tier ones - and above all to make the Republicans spend money to defend and retain seats where they've never had to before. We are going to douse that firewall.

Second, I gave to Washington Woman's We The People ActBlue page.

Yes, this is my girlfriends site.
They are supporting a great group of local candidates, national candidates and Democratic groups that are doing good work.

Help return our Constitution and the United States to We The People.
Help us to support and elect "more and better Democrats"!
-----------
Make a donation to the Democratic Party, to help show the that they are to be the party of The People and not the "corporate" party.
Help Howard Dean continue his 50 State Strategy, which has helped bring new in Democrats and reinvigorate long standing Democrats who felt they had been forgotten.
The DNC does not just support presidential candidates, they help support local and state candidates!
-----------
Help support Barack Obama to become the next great president of the United States!
With our support and our pressure, we can help hold him to the true progressive changes that must take place if We The People are to get this country back on track.

At Washington Woman, we have supported Democrats our whole lives. Since the 2004 presidential election cycle, we have supported a wide array of presidential candidates, such as:
Carol Mosley Braun, Dennis Kucinich, Wes Clark, John Kerry, John Edwards, Hillary Clinton and now Barack Obama.
-----------
To end with, since we are based in Washington state (the other Washington) we would like to show our support for two great candidates (who happen to be women): Darcy Burner and Christine Gregoire.
Darcy Burner is trying to unseat Dave Reichert and Christine Gregoire is fighting to hold the Governors seat against a Rovarian attack machine from the state and national republicans, special interest groups and the Dino Rossi campaign.

Give what you can and when you can, try and give again.

What can you do or what have you done?

It is HOT here! (3.00 / 4)
I sense beer in my future.  :)

I hope we can do well for the Q2 fundraising! The media reports silly stuff like this.

Equal Time Radio

Washington Woman

The media know that a big chunk of the money (3.00 / 4)
collected goes to their fat salaries. Damn the objectivity, profit motives full speed ahead.

Methane is carbon dioxide on steroids, and global warming is uncapping a methane soda bottle in the subsea Arctic.

I hear you on that one. (3.00 / 2)
What is this "sun" and why is it shining on me?  Aren't we known for our rain?  I could use some about now.  And all the local weather guys talk about is how there's a small craft advisory on the Strait of Juan de Fuca.  While I appreciate hearing the hilarious name that brings out the third grader in me.. THERE'S ALWAYS A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY ON THE STRAIT OF JUAN DE FUCA!  It would only be "news" if there wasn't one.  Hell, I could stand there every night with one of those green - tipped wand things and tell everyone about the dreaded small craft advisory.  That's it Steve Pool and everybody at KOMO 4.

In the immortal words of Mr. T...

"I'm comin' for ya!"
